Willie Revillame in hot waters....again

Controversy after controversy after controversy. This guy has amazing glue power to keep his job as host for the noontime show Wowowee. Recently, he found himself in another controversy. Last Wednesday, on a national holiday for former President Corazon Aquino , he requested to remove the live feed of Cory Aquino's coverage on air. Netizens have been outraged with this and branded him as disrespectful to the former President.

Personally, I think he has point but he should have pleaded his case off camera. You see, when you are a TV host you should be polite or at least pretend to be one. On the other hand, kudos to Eat Bulaga. They understand exactly what the situation was- the whole nation in mourning and fun and games on another. Their solution: Eat Bulaga opens not with the usual happy background music, this time only the hosts Allan K and Pia Guanio are on stage and seriously delivered their spiel of thanks for the former president. They asked for a moment of silence and then the screen went all black with a simple text "Paalam at salamat, Tita Cory. From the Eat Bulaga family." For 15 seconds or less, the show dealt with the important or big issue first. Then after that, the regular segments for Eat Bulaga resumed. Both programs offered prayers in the latter part of the show.

Finally, Marian Rivera says the right words at the right time

Last Sunday, she made an appearance in the noon time show Eat Bulaga together with the rest of the cast of Darna to promote their new show. A lot of people were really surprised, actually almost impressed with the way she invited the audience to watch the show.

She said, "Mga bata, gawin ng maaga ang inyong takdang aralin at kumain ng maaga para makanuod ng Darna. At si Ate Darna lang ang pwedeng lumunok ng bato ha. Huwag niyo ito gagayahin." ( Kids, do your homework and eat early so you can watch Darna. Do not copy Ate Darna, she is the only one allowed to swallow the (powerful) stone."

Finally, the right words at the right time. And yes, to win the hearts of the adults and her detractors (who thinks that contrary to her beautiful face and body she actually lacks finesse and has a very snobbish personality off-camera) may consider to like her again.

Watching Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Lahat Sa Akin

I am now officially hooked with the soap opera “Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Lahat Sa Akin.” So far, the plot is intriguing and engaging.

I’m not so crazy about the main leads of the soap but the kontrabidas are such a head turner they are played by actresses Jackie Lou Blanco and Glaiza De Castro. Also kudos to the character of Don Gilbert Andrada played by Nonie Buencamino. He doesn’t appear a lot but when he does he plays his role well. It is also fun to watch newcomer JC Tiuseco in the soap. You can’t help but re-enact his scenes whenever he appears because for sure you know, you can do a better version.
